the fencin tournament went well, tho i had 2 get up @ 5am on Saturday...Baylor took 2 teams made up of 3 fencers and a team of 2.  2 teams for foil and 1 for saber + an armourer & a sponser faculity.  we came in 3rd in our pool.

i was on the team of 2 fencers.  an officer and myself.  the officer was the A fencer and i was the B, we didnt have a C.  How this tournament worked is that ur team would go against another team and the A ranked fencers would fence the other A, the B the other B, and C the C.  But, since we only had an A and B, we automaticly lost one out of 3 bouts.  Which means to win best 2 out of 3 bouts against a team both the officer and myself had to win.  so it was pretty good that we came in 3rd place in our pool.  our other team made up of beginners came in last in their pool.  but it was good exprience 4 them.  our saber team also did well and came in 3rd, with Chris placing 2nd overall in individuals.  foil (which i was in) only had individuals competition for the top 2 teams.  and Chris went up against UT's best saberist and crushed him, and also parried so hard that he broke the UT guy's fav sword.  thats what they get 4 takin shit behind us....even their coach was takin shit about us before that.  they have sum good fencers, esp in foil, but they dont have to act like that and trash talk teams w/ less exprience....

well, so that took up all of Saturday, from 5am-9:30pm.  when i came back was 2 tired to go out or whatever. 

i also got a few injuries from the tournament.  my hand was on the wrong end of a powerful thrust.  the tip of my opponents sword hit my pinky finger.  he appoligized.  i didnt think it was that bad till i took of my glove 4 the lunch break...it was bleedin and swollen.  not 2 bad tho.  still fenced on.  some other minor injuries also.

but the good side was that the food, breakfast, lunch, and dinner was on baylor.  we got $500 in traveling money, for renting cars, gas, food.  so after the tournament we had a bunch left, so we had a good dinner.  so, i had sum good baby back ribs and fries courtesy of baylor ^_^.

some of ya when u saw my facebook laughed @ the fact that i have 2 take chapel.  ya, kinda sux.  but, its different from iolani chapel.  there r like 1 or 2 thousand ppl in there.  and they dont sing the traditional hymns like iolani.  the live music is pretty cool sumtimes, and the guests they bring in 2 speak r somtimes really good.  other times chapel is a 1hr nap.  well, i really enjoy when chapel brings in bands 2 play for the whole time.  they brought the David Crowder Band in.  i have never heard of them till i came here, prob cause i dont listen 2 Christian music.  they grad from baylor.  this Christian rock and music stuff is all my roommate plays, some other ppl play and chapel, so it kinda grows on u. lol. tho, i think this song is pretty good. sry if its a bit soft, jus turn up ur speakers. :)  these guys came 2 our chapel and preformed live.  it was pretty cool.

so i'm here @ baylor.  its pretty good.  got its good sides and bad, but i think i made the rite decision.  and anyways i'm already here.  it's not that cold here yet.  there were a few days where it was damn cold, but it warmed up a bit agian.  jus a random note, its really fun when all of martin dorm hooks up their xboxs and plays halo 1 or 2 lol.  and my CL (community leader) is really cool.

well, ramblin on, we lost bad 2 UT....62-0.  wtf mate.  o wells, they r like ranked 2nd in the nation.  on the subject of sports, the baylor fencing club here is good.  lets me fence again.  goin 2 a tournament this Sat.  baylor pays for food, transportation, etc.  the tourny is being held @ UNT, not 2 far, so we wont have 2 spend the nite, which baylor would pay 4 anyways.  wish me luck. ^_^.

o ya, i went 2 san antonio over fall break w/ sum friends, it was pretty cool.  more things 2 do than in waco, haha.  riverwalk is pretty cool, alamo, etc.  another random thing is that sumtimes i sleep thru my "lunch time" and so i bought pb and j and sum bread.  haha.  fast and tasty lunch or dinner.  or i jus go 2 the SUB (student union building) and get quizno's or chick-fil-a.  which is interesting cause here in texas they different restarunts like chick-fil-a, and sonic, and whataburger, etc.  tho i have no car.  a bike, but no car.  and waco @ 1st seems kinda like a small town, but tats jus cause everythin is more spread out, unlike downtown honolulu. 

thing is that i didnt really get home sick that much.  prob because i have traveled a lot, both w/ a group, parents, and alone.  so it @ 1st college jus seemed like a camp.  and then i got busy w/ classes and other stuff and that kept my mind occupied.  i do miss home now and then when something reminds me of home or family.  but i am actually going home this thanksgiving.  direct flight from dallas ft worth to honolulu.  ugg.  baylor closes most of the dorms durin thanksgiving.  so, ill go home for a few days.  spend time w/ family and get stuff 4 the dorm and stuff.  ^_^.

its been a while eh?  as if any1 is wondering why i seen 2 have fallen off the face of the earth, its because i've moved 2 baylor.  i have 2 say. when i first went to orientaiton a while back, i thought i had made a mistake going to baylor in waco, texas. but by the end of the orientation they made me love baylor!

not only that but then i went to a line camp.  which is like a orientation, but more fun and getting 2 kno ppl than administrative (as the 1st one was).  i went 2 the outdoor adventure and it was a hella good time.  i've done stuff that i never thought i'd do, like hike up a giant mountain in a day and back down, a 6+ hr hike.  i thought i was gonna give up several times.  i got altitude sickness, which sux, but i just kept going.  i may not have been 1st 2 the top, but i accompished that amazing task.  and the view was amazing.  the place we started from was halfway 2 the horrizon, the distance both vertically and horrizontally was amazing. 

the student leaders (upper classmen) and grad students + other faculity were great.  they were genuinely nice ppl.  they were strong w/ their faith in God also.  this camp was for all incoming freshmen.  and for the most part, they had great personalities.  some of the actions were truely inspiring.  words cant even begin 2 explain.  

i've pushed myself harder on that trip than i have for a long time.  4 days & 3 nites out there in the new mexico wilderness (we drove there from waco in like 6 suv's)  the car ride there was an adventure.  every so often we'd stop and streach and stuff.  we'd change cars and get 2 kno other ppl in the group.  that and also get 2 kno the leaders.  we had 2 carry everything on our packs which was about 40-60 lbs.  i even "took the bears 2 the superbowl" in the woods.  lol

i could go on and on, but sum highlights : summiting a mountain w/ snow on it w/ packs. --- sleding down hill on some snow. --- camp fires after a rainy day --- getting hit by small hail! --- accompished what i thought i couldnt do --- deep conversations w/ 11 ppl in a 4 person tent @ nite while it rains outside. --- not changing any article of clothing for 4 days & 3 nites (except taking on and off rain coats) --- seeing cows in the middle of nowhere --- hearing the other camp got attacked by the cows! --- the leaders and students being amazing --- bonding --- lotsa other stuff. 

and now im here @ baylor for welcome week, a week of great events for incoming freshmen 2 get 2 kno others and the campus b4 starting class.  @ first it seemed kinda lame, but it tured out 2 b good stuff.  my roommate is pretty cool.  im all settled in and stuff.  its nice.  the campus is quite nice.  its kinda big, but not 2 big.  its the rite size 4 me.  waco isnt a hick town either.  it mite look it, but thats cause its way spread out and stuff.  and, hey, there r asians here lol.  and there r some hot girls here, and cute ones also.  but it is a lil odd 2 go from majority asian 2 majority haole.  but eh.

classes start this coming monday....texas is 5 hrs ahead of hawaii, the plane ride kinda suxed, but its all good.  i kno im gonna get homesick a few weeks into school.  @ 1st it will seem more like another camp.  but i've met some nice ppl already.  we even did a tradition started by my dorm, the guys go out and travel 2 the other girls dorms and sing/serenate the girls.  they brought a pick up w/ loud speakers and stuff.  was fun.  we dressed up in fancy clothes @ like 10pm and did this, the girls had no idea it was coming lol.  dance and have fun.

i miss u guys in hawaii or wherever u r if u left for college.  but so far im having a great time here.  i have a bunch of good pics from the good times back in hawaii on my comp.  put them in a slide show 4 my screen saver.

star wars was great!  the 1st and some of the 2nd epi were useless, so they had 2 cram everythin into the last one and make it all connect.  nun the less it was kick arse.  saw it twice now hehe. .  lol LOTR risk.

letter opening was funny.  got 2 look back @ wat we were all like durin the 7th grade.  of course there r sum regrets thru out the yrs, but i dont remember them so they dont bother me, anyways im more of an optimist, its all gud.

good fun on fritog....bubba gumps.  i've never been there before.  ya, ya go ahead laugh.  im not that big on the sea food stuff.  i had the pasta and shrimp thingy.  mmmmm. pasta, better than the one i had @ sam choys .  of course bunch of ppl order that bucket of boat trash...fried stuff, tried sum good also.  plus it has a view of the ocean....there musta been a reggatta or sumthin cause i saw a lot of sail boats, wat seemed 2 b 420's.  kinda envious of those of u hu have gf's....but im truely happy 4 u 2.   it wouldnt b fair 2 another person if i started a relation now, unless the other person started it first.  but anyways, tat was good fun, then poker & wat turned into a sleep ova @ matt's house.

it seems tat im getting a lil more skill in poker, not relyin so much on my "korean luck" now, but i still suck.  we also watched kill bill.....very violent 2 the point tat its rediculus and funny....not a bad movie.  went home in the mornning/afternoon take a good shower, sleep sum more, read. sleep.

band concert...last one ...we did pretty gud, esp el camino real.  gj sherri, gj band!!!    man, i remember playin friends twice, not really thinkin much bout it....now it was my turn.  senior reception afta was good.  like a small grad.  ended formal concert band on a great note.  ty 2 all those hu gave me hugs and stuff.  mucho appricated.  ^_^.  .  gonna miss ya all. i really wish we would do that ultrazone thing again....

well, nuff babblin, gotta study for this heinous vocab test.  wtf, on a mon and seniors shouldnt have 2 take it anyways.  its preposterous 2 make seniors think @ all @ tis time of the yr.  words dont seem 2 formindable, but tats wat i said last time.....
